  • What is East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation?
EWS-KT is a non-profit corporate foundation with unique ties to East-West Seed Group. Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in less developed areas of Africa and Asia. By creating opportunities for income development, our work catalyzes the development of competitive agricultural-input markets and increases the availability of safe-to-eat and affordable vegetables in markets supplying lower-income consumers.


  • What is Learn with KT?
Learn with KT is an online platform developed by East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer in association with TalentLMS to provide a learning platform for enthusiasts in vegetable production. Learn with KT aims to provide a blended learning experience, mixing online training modules, with virtual visits, forums, advice and many more for enthusiasts and professionals in vegetable production.


  • Who designed the courses?
The courses have been designed by EWS-KT Technical Support Hub, tapping into their own knowledge and knowledge accumulated by East-West Seed for over 40 years supported by Wageningen University & Research. The courses are designed to meet the needs of different audiences.


  • Are there any fees associated with enrolling in these courses?
The courses are free of charge. It does not involve any fee for enrolling or for the certification.


  • How many free courses can I enrol in at the same time?
An individual can enrol in one course at a time.


  • How are the assignment and quiz submissions evaluated?
The quizzes are pre-answered, automatically checked by the program for evaluation.


  • How will I get the course completion certificate?
Successful completion of the course with the required score of 80%, a certificate will be issued automatically.


  • Is there any time duration for completing the free courses with certificates?
AgroBusiness and Vegetable Production Beginner is for a period of 8 weeks, if the candidate fails to complete the course within the specified time, certificate will not be issued. Crop Advisor Trainer is for a duration of 13 weeks, failure to complete the course within the stipulated time will result in loss of certification.
